FREDERICK, MD — Stulz of North America, Inc., has purchased Air Technology Systems, Inc. (ATS), the result of which will be a united company named Stulz Air Technology Systems, Inc. Both companies are based here in Frederick.

Stulz manufactures environmental control systems such as the Modular Line, Wall-Air, Com-Air, Mini-Space, and ultrasonic humidification. ATS a/c products include CyberAir, DesicAir, and TechAir. Jim Garrett, president of ATS, said that “Combined with the resources of Stulz, this will allow us to become a dominant factor in our markets.”

Bassam Shadid, president of Stulz, said, “We have outgrown our present space and the ATS location will provide us with the manufacturing space we need for all products. We are now in the process of planning the move to the ATS plant and the integration of all operations.”

Present distribution networks will remain intact for now, and current representatives will continue to sell, support, and service their respective product lines, according to Shadid.
