Two new EZ-Ject™ dye injection kits are available. The kits contain the EZ-50 dye injector assembly, an A/C hose assembly with check valve and 1/4-inch flare low-loss fitting, two EZ-Ject dye cartridges, and a purge fitting. In addition, one kit contains two universal/POE dye cartridges for all air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and the other package has two dye cartridges for mineral oil lubricant systems. To add dye to high-pressure systems, the dye injector requires only one connection, says the manufacturer. Each dye cartridge is pre-filled and contains enough AR-GLO® fluorescent dye to treat two gallons (7.6L) of lubricant (25 pounds [11.3 kg] of refrigerant or 12 tons of cooling). The dye cartridges are calibrated to provide precise dosing for multiple systems, the company states.
