Sept. 5, 2002: Bradford White Acquires Canadian Producer Of Oil-Fired Heating Products

AMBLER, PA — Bradford White Corp., a manufacturer of water heating equipment, announced that it has purchased Aero Environmental Ltd. of Mississauga, ON, Canada. Aero Environmental is one of Canada’s largest manufacturers of oil-fired heating products for domestic and commercial applications.

The acquisition of Aero follows Bradford White’s recently announced purchase of the Niles Steel Tank Co. of Niles, MI. Both acquisitions are said to be part of a strategic plan to supply customers with a broad line of products for the plumbing and heating industry.

Aero Environmental manufactures water heaters, storage tanks, swimming pool heaters, air handlers, oil burners, and combination domestic hot water and space heating products for customers in the U.S., Canada, and internationally.

In making the announcement, A. Robert Carnevale, president and CEO of Bradford White, stated, “Niles Steel Tank was just the beginning.” With the current acquisition of Aero Environmental “and success with some of our other ‘irons in the fire,’ tomorrow’s Bradford White will be able to offer a line of proprietary and distinctive products available only through industry wholesalers and professional installers.”

Aero Environmental will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradford White. Ian Brooker has been appointed vice president, general manager, of the new subsidiary and Michael Brooker has been appointed vice president, manufacturing.
