The Combat® IDF-Series indirect-fired air-handling units are designed for commercial and industrial applications. Features include contaminant-free discharge air, three- or four-pass heat exchanger design, and modular design. According to the manufacturer, the unit is easy to maintain because motors, belts, and bearings are placed out of the airstream. The air-handling unit’s cabinet is supported by a welded steel frame. The casing is finish-coated to protect against corrosion. The units are available in evaporative and mechanical cooling packages, and in make-up air, fixed recirculation, and air management models. They can be installed horizontally or upright. Natural gas, propane, or oil burner units are available.
