Regal-Beloit Forms Motor Tech Group

BELOIT, WI — Regal-Beloit Corp. announced the formation of a Motor Technologies Group, which will manage the manufacturing operations of Marathon Electric, Lincoln Motors, and Leeson Electric, all company-owned motor manufacturers.

“By combining the operational resources of Marathon, Lincoln, and Leeson, the new Motor Technologies Group will take full advantage of the purchasing power and operating synergies resulting from these companies coming together,” said Regal-Beloit president and chief executive officer James L. Packard. “This consolidation of operations will allow us to create focused centers of excellence in virtually every operation area.”

Each of the companies will still maintain independent brands with their own sales-marketing organizations. The Motor Technologies Group will be headquartered in Wausau, WI, and will be headed up by David Eisenreich. Marathon’s marketing operations will remain in Wausau, while the customer service and marketing efforts will remain in the Cleveland, OH, area. Leeson will remain in Grafton, WI.
