DALLAS, FORT WORTH, TX — The North Texas ACCA Chapter will hold its 11th Annual “Heat the Town” program on October 27, 2001. The project will donate heating repair services and equipment to elderly, disabled, and low-income homeowners who “would have gone without heat or possibly been the subject of fire from faulty equipment,” the chapter says.

ACCA noted “the threat of carbon monoxide poisoning is also a concern for many elderly people who do not have the money to pay for costly repairs to their furnaces or space heaters.”

The chapter is asking all members to help with the program in Dallas and Fort Worth. Technicians and non-technical people will be helping with the project, including team leaders and parts runners. The plan is expected to help over 200 homeowners.
