Rated at 97 percent and higher, the iQ Drive® modulating furnace delivers the industry’s widest range of modulation and, when paired with the 23 SEER iQ Drive air conditioner, the most efficient split system, according to the company. When paired with a matched 13 or 14 SEER outdoor unit, the iQ Drive furnace also increases cooling efficiency by up to 1 SEER point. It is available in the Maytag®, Frigidaire®, Tappan®, NuTone®, and Westinghouse® brands. The furnace can modulate between 15 and 100 percent of capacity to exactly meet the home’s heating demands. It reevaluates the heating load every 60 seconds and adjusts its modulation accordingly, maintaining very tight temperature control. With complete system monitoring, service notifications, error codes, and onboard diagnostics, the iQ Drive controller can also save the contractor time on service calls.
