  • Tight energy supplies in the West have led other states to announce conservation plans. In Nevada, energy conservation plans have been developed both for state government and for businesses and individuals. “The energy situation must be addressed on many fronts and from many different angles due to its complex nature,” Governor Kenny Guinn said. “There is not one single piece of legislation or planning that will adequately address the issue — it demands a comprehensive approach.”

    The State of Nevada plans are available through the website of its Division of Emergency Management at www.dem.state. nv.us/plangovsltr.htm.
