MoreWASHINGTON — The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) will be training and certifying its first class of HVAC inspectors at its upcoming Annual Meeting, “Indoor Environments 2003,” in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., March 4-8.
According to NADCA, the HVAC Inspectors Program equips individuals with the knowledge they need to assess the cleanliness and physical condition of a commercial building’s HVAC system. The training will include information on why HVAC inspections are needed, HVAC systems and components, and tools needed to perform an inspection. Participants will also learn how to plan an inspection, conduct an inspection, and prepare an inspection report.
Those who attend the session will receive a training manual that includes system component checklists created and based on the EPA’s I-BEAM program. The association plans to periodically offer additional training and certification opportunities for the program after its debut.
