Mohawk Launches New Hydronics Certificate Programs

HAMILTON, Ontario - Mohawk College, in partnership with the Canadian Hydronics Council (CHC) and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, has launched new Hydronics Certificate Programs. Applications are currently being accepted for the two certificate programs: Hydronics Designer and Hydronics Installer.

The program consists of four modules of approximately 60 hours each, two common core modules in hydronics and one each specializing in either design or installation. The first module will start Oct. 15 and will run four consecutive Fridays and Saturdays. The cost for the first module of the program is $975 and includes all texts and materials.

Topics covered in Module I include boilers, alternative heat sources, boiler and piping installation, materials, pumps, system accessories, heat transfer units, and tube installation.

The instructor for the program is Professor Warren Hyde, who has extensive industry background in radiant heat technologies and related applications.
