The Mr. Slim® MSZ-FD (indoor unit)/MUZ-FD (outdoor unit), part of the Mr. Slim M-Series high-efficiency, split-ductless heat pump system line, features increased energy effectiveness for superior performance, said the company. A powerful new magnet rotor design in the outdoor unit’s compressor allows for lower current input. The system models are rated 22 or 23 SEER, depending on the Btuh. The MSZ-FD09NA systems have a rated cooling capacity of 9,000 Btuh and a rated heating capacity of 10,900 Btuh, while the MSZ-FD12NA models have a rated cooling capacity of 12,000 Btuh and a rated heating capacity of 13,600 Btuh. The i-see sensor, which is standard on the indoor units, eliminates stratification. The MSZ-FD/MUZ-FD systems have three filters. The system includes a function that permits it to temporarily run at either a cooler or warmer temperature (depending on need) with an increased fan speed to quickly bring any room to the optimum comfort level.
