March 9, 2004: PowerCold Announces Contracts, National Contractors Program

LARGO, Fla. - PowerCold Corporation announced its wholly owned subsidiary, PowerCold ComfortAir Solutions Inc. (PCS), has been awarded several new contracts for installation of its standardized HVAC system packages. The company will provide equipment installation, controls, ductwork, fans, and warranty service to national chains including Bob Evans, Chick-fil-A, and Arby's. In addition, PCS is expecting 8-10 new contracts in the first quarter from its current list of national chain store accounts that includes Applebee's, Denny's, Burger King, and Eckerd Drug Stores.

PCS also expects its National Contractors Alliance (NCA) program to provide additional revenue as the design-build program gains momentum with its new alliance partners.

The NCA is a turnkey design-build program that brings together a network of contractors, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers to design, build, and equip facilities with the company's proprietary HVAC systems. According to PCS, its turnkey design-build approach offers design flexibility, lower installation costs, equipment longevity, ease of service, and an end to cost overruns and delays.

Robert Yoho, PCS president, stated, "The design-build approach continues to grow in popularity within the construction industry and is expected to become the predominant method of project delivery by 2005. As we continue to redefine the ways we get things done, our NCA program allows us to deliver projects on accelerated schedules and at lower cost than the traditional design-bid-build approach. The end result is not just a typical building project, but an innovative solution that is strategically matched to the owner's business objectives."
