PORTLAND, Ore. - Christenson Electric, one of the Northwest’s largest electrical contractors, has announced the acquisition of Tanner Creek Energy. Christenson said the acquisition will enable the company to expand its renewable energy and energy efficiency services to its customers.
Tanner Creek Energy, founded in 2007 by Alan Hickenbottom, will operate as a division of Christenson Electric. The Tanner Creek Energy division will offer Northwest businesses renewable energy solutions and energy efficiency improvements in HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, motors, lighting, compressed air, irrigation, and energy. Tanner Creek has worked extensively with commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers, and is said to have broad knowledge of financing and incentives to help ensure that its customers receive the maximum return on their energy investments.
Mark Walter, president of Christenson Electric, said, “The acquisition of Tanner Creek Energy allows us to offer our customers the ability to leverage energy efficiency enhancements, lower their total energy consumption, and enhance their profitability while meeting their carbon reduction and sustainability goals. The Christenson legacy of customer service, quality, and integrity will continue to be tantamount in our energy services offering. We are proud to be able help our customers realize the financial and environmental benefits of comprehensive operational efficiency practices.”
Hickenbottom will serve as the general manager of the new division and will lead the team in integrating Tanner Creek Energy’s approach into Christenson’s offerings. Tanner Creek is said to take a holistic, long-term approach to help customers identify the most impactful efficiencies and enhancements.
Hickenbottom said, “We’re really excited to become part of the Christenson team. Their capabilities, experience, and reputation will add incredible scale to our mutual efforts. Mark Walter and the Christenson management have an excellent vision of what the future of energy services contracting is and we’re excited to be a part of it.
