The guide is available in CD-ROM format. It includes a description of the purpose and intended use of the information, a discussion on basic assumptions, a detailed listing of labor correction factors, and a comprehensive list of the routine maintenance tasks for 50 different pieces of equipment, says MSCA. Along with the list of tasks are a description of the procedure required to complete that task, the recommended frequency this task should be performed, and the average time to complete the task.
The CD is designed to be easy to use and navigate. Equipment is listed alphabetically and a click on a particular piece of equipment will take users directly to the tasking sheet for that equipment. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.
The Labor Estimating Guide for Service CD-ROM is available to MSCA and MCAA members for $65 per copy. Nonmember price is $195 per copy.
To order, visit www.msca.org for an order form or call 301-990-2200.
