ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA International) announced that the AMCA board of directors has approved a new method of test standard for induced flow fans and a new certified ratings program for the unique performance requirements of these types of fans.
Induced flow fans are generally used in laboratories or other hazardous exhaust applications. According to AMCA International, the new test method and certified ratings program provide assurance of the induced flow performance that has been requested by consultants and experts in this field.
The certified ratings program is described in a revision to AMCA 211-05, Certified Ratings Program – Product Rating Manual for Fan Air Performance. The standard is designated AMCA 260-07, Laboratory Method of Testing Induced Flow Fans for Rating.
