March 13, 2006: ACCA Announces Awards for Excellence Finalists

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced the finalists for its 2006 ACCA Awards for Excellence.

"These are the most prestigious contractor awards in the industry," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. "Each of these companies deserves accolades for the commitment to excellence that brought them to this pinnacle. Just making it this far is an honor."

The winners will be announced at ACCA's Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo in San Jose, Calif., scheduled for March 28-30.

The finalists are:

Residential Award

  • Albemarle Heating & Air Inc., Charlottesville, Va.
  • Castellano A/C & Heating, Inc., Tampa, Fla.
  • Great Dane Heating and Air Conditioning, Clinton Township, Mich.
  • Peaden Air Conditioning & Heating, Panama City, Fla.

    Commercial Award

  • Engineering Excellence, Cincinnati
  • Tri-City Mechanical, Phoenix
  • Shapiro & Duncan, Rockville, Md.

    Jeff Forker Award for Excellence in Training

  • Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich.
  • Peaden Air Conditioning & Heating, Panama City, Fla.
  • ACCA Texas, Austin, Texas

    Spirit of Giving

  • ACCA North Texas, Arlington, Texas
  • ACCA National Capital, Silver Spring, Md.
  • ACCA Southeast Michigan, Livonia, Mich.

    "The finalists represent the best in our business," concluded Stalknecht. "They are the leaders in customer service, professionalism, and community involvement."
