Manufacturers for the Week: The Ruskin Company, Kramer, Vilter Manufacturing Corporation, MSI-Encompass, Frontline Outreach Inc.’s, Peerless Heater Company and Weil-McLain

  • The Ruskin Company (Kansas City, MO), a manufacturer of fire and smoke dampers, announces it will replace units containing defective MA 200 series actuators, which may cause the dampers to stay open. Contractors who purchased and installed Ruskin dampers with the model designations “SD” and “FSD” should contact Ruskin for more details about the recall program at 877-781-5186.
  • Kramer (Brea, CA), a manufacturer of industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment, has moved from Decatur, GA, to Covington, GA. The new address is 14230 Lochridge Blvd., Covington, GA 30014. The company can be reached at 770-788-5800; 770-788-5820 (fax).
  • Vilter Manufacturing Corporation (Cudahy, WI) announces it has been named winner of Start magazine’s third annual Technology & Business Award Competition, in cooperation with Microsoft. The award recognizes companies for their vision in implementing Windows-based technology to solve business challenges.
  • William M. Dillard, founder and ceo of MSI-Encompass (Orlando, FL) presented a $32,000 check to Frontline Outreach Inc.’s president, Arto Woodley Jr., during ceremonies at MSI-Encompass’ 16th Annual Hvac Seminar and Golf & Tennis Benefit Tournament.
  • Peerless Heater Company (Boyertown, PA) announces it is now occupying an additional 80,000 sq ft of warehouse space. With the addition, Peerless’ manufacturing and warehouse space now reaches a combined total of 245,000 sq ft. The new warehouse features 13 shipping/receiving bays and is situated on eight acres of land.
  • Weil-McLain (Michigan City, IN) announces that it has become the first company in northwest Indiana to secure an Advance Indiana Grant. Craig Hartzer, commissioner of Indiana’s Department of Workforce Development, presented the grant, which totaled $129,400, to Weil-McLain president Tom May.
