(San Mateo, CA) that includes all modules of the E.piphany E.5™ system. The customer relationship management system will be implemented in several Emerson divisions by early 2001.
  • Honeywell International Inc. (Morris Township, NJ) reports that its third-quarter earnings rose 9%, meeting Wall Street forecasts, but sales growth was 3%, which was below expectations. The company earned $613 million, or 76 cents a share, in the quarter, up from $560 million, or 69 cents a share, a year earlier, excluding one-time items in both periods. Sales rose to $6.22 billion from $6.04 billion a year earlier.
  • Manitowoc Co., Inc. (Manitowoc, WI) reports that net earnings for the third quarter were $12.3 million, or $.50 per diluted share, compared with $19.4 million, or $.74 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 1999. Net sales were $210.8 million in the third quarter, compared with $213.9 million for the same period in 99.
  • Manitowoc Co. also announces that it will begin repurchasing shares of its common stock, carrying out a stock buyback program approved by the company's board of directors. The current 1-million share repurchase authorization represents approximately 4.1% of the company's 24.6-million total shares outstanding.
  • Mueller Industries, Inc. (Memphis, TN) reports the company's results for the third quarter. Earnings were 50 cents per diluted share compared with earnings per diluted share of 66 cents for the same period a year ago. Net income was $19.3 million, compared with $26.3 million for fiscal 1999. Net sales were $296 million, an increase of 2.8% over net sales of $287.9 million last year.
  • Burnham Corp. (Lancaster, PA) announces that the company had record sales for both the third quarter and for the nine months ending September 30 of $65.5 million and $158.1 million, respectively. The third quarter sales were an increase of 4.5% vs. the $62.7 million reported in the same period of 1999, which had been the previous record third quarter. Record earnings for the quarter were reported at $4.1 million.
  • Due to continued growth, Viconics Electronics Inc. The facility is scheduled to open in February 2001.
