You can learn a lot from an HVACR instructor, and not just how to charge an air conditioning unit or perform a load calculation. In this issue, you will find the results of the fourth annual Instructor of the Year contest, conducted by The News and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).

Six individuals from secondary and post-secondary institutions are profiled for their outstanding work with students and their efforts to elevate the educational level for all members of the HVACR industry.

The 2003 Instructor of the Year is Bob Feathers (pictured at left) from RETS Tech Center (Centerville, Ohio). This year's other honorees include (bottom row, left to right) Ray Peters from Linn State Technical College (Linn, Mo.), Steve Fordham from Utah Valley State College (Orem, Utah), Darren Jones from Meade County Area Technology Center (Brandenburg, Ky.), Ed Taylor from Central Kentucky Technical College (Lexington, Ky.), and Guy Letrick from Monmouth County Vocational School (Freehold, N.J.).
