The X-ID™ Firetube EconoMiser is a lightweight, adaptable heat recovery system designed for smaller boiler applications, the manufacturer says. The system recycles waste heat from flue gases and returns it to the boiler feedwater, reducing fuel consumption, decreasing thermal pollution, and maximizing energy efficiency and economy, says the company. Its internally ribbed tubing is said to deliver high heat transfer. Because gases stay inside the tubes, the system handles a boiler’s load changes and eliminates the need for a flue gas bypass, the company says.
