June 5, 2002: Vice President Cheney To Address NAHB

WASHINGTON, DC — Vice President Dick Cheney will address members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), who have traveled to the nation’s capital to meet with their members of Congress and to attend the association’s spring board of directors meeting.

Cheney is expected to talk about a number of fiscal, housing, and national security issues in his speech to NAHB’s board members, which will take place on June 6 at 5:15 p.m. in the International Ballroom at the Hilton Washington & Towers Hotel.

“In light of his national security responsibilities in the war on terrorism, we are particularly honored that Vice President Cheney will be taking time from his busy schedule to brief the nation’s home builders on critical national priorities,” said Gary Garczynski, president of NAHB and a home builder/developer from Woodbridge, VA.

“On the national housing front, we look forward to working with the Bush administration and with Congress to enact meaningful housing legislation that results in the production of more affordable housing for all Americans.”
