Combination fire/smoke dampers reduce the spread of fire and smoke in hvac systems. The integrated product combines two dampers in one. The device is tested to 5,000 cycles, and is intended to prevent the spread of fire (UL 11/2-hour fire rating) as well as smoke (UL Class II 350°F leakage rating), the company says. The product also features a high-torque spring to ensure closure during dynamic airflow and allow it to function as a latch to keep blades closed.
