The new line of 90 percent AFUE Comfortmaker®-brand gas furnaces includes five product groups. The SoftSound™ VS 90 offers variable-speed two-stage heating; the SoftSound IIS 90 offers two-stage heating using a PSC blower motor; the SoftSound DLX 90 offers single-stage heating; the PS90-DV offers single-stage heating and is certified for direct two-pipe venting; and the PS90 offers single-stage heating and is certified for one-pipe indoor combustion air. Features of the furnaces include 24- and 115-volt connections for attaching humidifiers, an LED fault indicator that will diagnose most system-related malfunctions, a modified control board mounting plate designed for easier servicing access, and silicon nitride igniters. Ready for upflow installation immediately, the furnaces come with all the parts needed for downflow or horizontal conversions. LP conversion kits are available.
