The D-Tek Select refrigerant leak detector has extended sensor life and consistent high sensitivity to new refrigerant blends, states the company. The detector's infrared-absorption sensor technology has a life expectancy 10 times better than traditional heated diode sensors and gives consistent performance throughout the sensor's lifetime, claims the manufacturer. The unit has indicators for low battery, charging status, and sensor failure. The detector runs on nickel metal hydride batteries.
