MT. PROSPECT, IL — Owners of the 65,000-sq-ft Northwest Electric supply facility here were “happy with the [radiant heat] system” installed by Hawthorne Heating & A/C of Wauconda, IL. It’s no surprise – the system design won the contractors a 2nd place recognition in the Radiant Panel Association (RPA) System Showcase.

According to the November Radiant Panel Report, Hawthorne’s “recipe” for heating season happiness was an extensive radiant heat layout in the building’s basement and first floor. The building has 12 zones of heating, including the warehouse, showroom, and offices.

“We were very satisfied with the job,” said Wally Hartje, Hawthorne partner. Hartje said his company’s business is good and that he plans to enter next year’s RPA System Showcase, too.
