ICC Bought By ACI

MIDDLETON, Wis. - Automation Components Inc. (ACI) has purchased Advanced Control Technologies’ (ACT’s) Interface Control Components (ICC) line. This acquisition will allow ACI to broaden its customer base and build on the product offering that ACT has built over more than 20 years in the HVAC industry. ACT’s worldwide customer base includes engineers, designers, and installers of building automation systems and process control systems, as well as owners and managers of commercial buildings, industrial buildings, government buildings, schools, hospitals, and custom home builders.

ICC, also known as interface modules, are primarily used to transfer, modify, condition, and isolate signals between computer controllers and sensors. They help BAS managers address the need to improve energy efficiency, regardless of the software, firmware, or hardware involved.

“ACI has committed to maintaining the long-term success of this line. The ACI sales staff is undergoing extensive product training, and the entire company has embraced the task of supporting this line with ACI’s outstanding service,” said Chad Schwenn, ACI’s marketing manager. “Ultimately, by acquiring another solution-based product line, the combination of the two will provide the HVAC industry a compelling single-source option. In addition, we look forward to forging new business relationships via this acquisition and cementing even stronger ones with our current customers,” said Troy Schwenn, president of ACI.
