LAS VEGAS, NV — The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) held its first awards competition in conjunction with its annual meeting and exposition, held here at the beginning of October. Members submitted nominations to a review committee that selected honorees from four categories: Trainer of the Year, Product Technology, Contractor of the Year, and Industry Person of the Year.

Jim Holland of Restoration Consultants, Sacramento, CA, was named Trainer of the Year. His company specializes in training for cleaning, restoration, and IAQ products. The business is also an approved IAQA Course Provider for mold remediation.

Robert Baker of BBJ Environmental, Tampa, FL, was given the Product Technology Award. BBJ Environmental produces antimicrobial products to treat hvac systems and other indoor environment systems.

The Contractor of the Year Award went to Greg Long of TPV Group, Waco, TX. The company specializes in mold remediation and other forms of restorative cleaning.

Finally, Glen Fellman, IAQA executive director, received the Industry Person of the Year Award. He was also recognized for leading IAQA through a period of growth in which the association tripled its membership.
