IAC America: Duct Analysis CD, Silencers
The Systemic Noise Analysis Procedure (SNAP) form is available on CD. To use, the consultant or engineer enters the acoustic criterion for the occupied space, along with components such as terminals, mixing boxes, branch takeoffs, elbows, ductwork, fan sources, and room characteristics. The computerized SNAP form determines the best silencer for the application. The Quiet-Duct Ultraâ„¢/Low Series silencers have published guaranteed performance data in the 31.5-Hz full octave-band center frequency, and in the 25- through 80-Hz third octave-band frequencies for applications requiring narrow-band performance to match specific sound sources, the company claims. The Quiet-Duct Ultraâ„¢/Green silencer uses recycled acoustic fill material.
