“With the advent of the Montreal Protocol in 1986, Honeywell chose to play a leadership role in the search for non-ozone-depleting blowing agents. Today, in preparation of the HCFC-141b phase-out, we volunteered our aerospace facility in Boyne City, MI, to test an HFC-245fa system supplied by BASF,” said Terry Sutter, general manager of Honeywell Fluorine Products. “We were able to confirm that HFC-245fa-based systems can be successfully applied at an equivalent cost to that of HCFC-141b systems.”
