What's New

Hansen Technologies: Valves

New extended neck shut-off and expansion valves are available. By using these valves, buildup of frost and ice is minimized, resulting in longer insulation life, particularly in low-temperature service, the manufacturer says. The extended neck valves have the same large-diameter, one-piece stem that the company's standard shut-off valves have. The dual stem sealing O-ring and packing ring design is the same in both the extended neck and standard valves. The stem and packing nut are made of 316 stainless steel. Enhanced materials are incorporated for installations where moderate to severe service is expected. Features include Teflon® seat disc, 400-psig (27 bar) safe working pressure, and handwheel or seal cap.
