These new rupture disc assemblies prevent loss of refrigerant though pressure relief valve leakage or weeping, the company says. The assemblies can indicate which pressure relief valves/rupture disc stations have discharged. The design mechanically isolates the rupture disc from pipe stress to eliminate internal leakage, says the company. The units provide a hermetic seal and have no threaded internal body joints or gaskets to leak, the manufacturer says. They feature welded stainless steel bodies and nonfragmenting nickel rupture discs.
