Hansen Technologies Corp.: PRESSURE RELIEF VALVES
H5600A pressure relief valves in 1/2- by 3/4-in. sizes, are now available with 400-psig pressure settings. Matching rupture disc assemblies, also with 400-psig pressure settings, are available to indicate which pressure relief valve has discharged. The valves are designed to provide emergency relief from excessive pressure in refrigerant-containing vessels, says the manufacturer. After discharge, these valves attempt to reseat to minimize loss of refrigerant. They are built in conformance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements for safety relief devices.
