Georgia Contractor Lands ACCA Award

LAKE CITY, GA — Corbin Comfort Systems of Lake City, GA, has won the 2002 Residential Excellence Award for Category 1 (companies with fewer than 10 employees or less than one million dollars in revenue). The annual Residential Excellence Award recognizes a company that is cited by peers as leaders in their local markets and committed to quality, high ethical standards, and sound business practices.

Since it opened its doors in 1988, Corbin Comfort Systems has been dedicated to its customers and employees, according to the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). Jim Corbin, founder and owner, said he stresses preventive maintenance programs and following up after every service call and installation. He said that once a new customer is provided with great service, that customer should become a permanent one.

Corbin Comfort Systems participates in several community service projects, including Habitat for Humanity, Partners In Education (Morrow High School), and Adopt an Elf. After Sept. 11, the company handed out American flags to customers and passersby. The company’s motto is "Do Good Things and Good Things Happen."
