Two thermometers, the Sir2 and the SPK1, are designed for quick temperature readings of registers and ambient temperatures, indoors and out-of-doors. The SIR2 pocket infrared thermometer uses a laser to identify the target. A technician can take ambient air temperatures by "shooting" any representative surface immediately; there's no need to wait for stabilization, the company says. The viewing ratio is 3:1. The SPK1 is a pocketknife-style thermometer. Its probe folds into the unit's body for protection and storage.
