This three-way thermostatic bypass valve is designed to be used in either new or retrofit fin-tube baseboard installations to permit zone control of individual rooms using a non-electric thermostat, without any wiring required, says the company. The valve is furnished with compression fittings for 3¼4-in. copper tube, and is installed ahead of the fin-tube in the supply side, where the radiation enters the room. Standard copper fittings are used to connect to a bare bypass tube which will fit into most commercially available fin-tube baseboard, the company says.
