The eScan DuctRiteâ„¢ duct leakage and refrigerant charge verification system consists of the ChargeRiteâ„¢ automated refrigerant charge verification unit and Duct Blaster duct leakage verification unit. The ChargeRite provides a way to charge an a/c unit with the proper amount of refrigerant and includes a wireless pressure data collection unit that gathers outdoor conditions and measurements at the condensing unit, and a set of two probes, which measure the conditions in the return and supply plenums. The Duct Blaster includes a fan that delivers up to 1,500 cfm and can be used for pressurization and depressurization testing; in new construction applications where a blower door can't be used; and as a powered flow hood, to measure airflow through the air handler fan, registers and grilles, and exhaust fans. It incorporates a variable-fan speed control and a data collection module, which communicates with, and is controlled by, the eScan laptop. The system meets utility programs and the state of California's Title 24 ductwork, a/c, and building envelope testing equipment requirements.
