Emerson Announces COSS Curriculum

SIDNEY, OH — Copeland Corp., an Emerson company and part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business group, has announced the core curriculum for its Compressor Operation & Service Seminars (COSS) and the schedule for the upcoming training season.

“We recognize that technician skill level has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and company integrity,” explained Sherri Wilkerson, manager of training for Copeland. “COSS offers a solid platform for developing and enhancing those skills, as well as staying up-to-speed on new service topics. The face-to-face classroom environment offers the opportunity to receive expert instruction on proper techniques, address field concerns, and learn about the industry’s latest technologies and trends.”

According to Copeland, this year’s seminars will focus on the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of air conditioning and refrigeration;

  • Scroll, reciprocating, and screw compressor technology;

  • Electrical diagnostics; and

  • Troubleshooting techniques.
