The recognition was for “emphasis on quality control and exceeding customer expectations,” according to Martin Drigotas, manager of DuPont refrigerants for the automotive sector.

The award, for the year 2001, was presented at Toyota’s annual supplier business meeting and awards ceremony this spring in Covington, KY.

Toyota annually recognizes suppliers from across North America who reach high standards in quality, delivery, and value improvement for parts, materials, and transportation.

The most recent award was the sixth in a row in that category for DuPont. Its R-134a is manufactured in Corpus Christi, TX, and shipped to Toyota plants in Kentucky, California, and Ontario, Canada.
