The PowerFast™ cable tacker is designed for wire and cable fastening. Its staple design features a raised top that surrounds the wire and holds it in place, says the company. Flat shoulders stop the staple from penetrating too far into the surface, eliminating overdrive and preventing cutting, crushing, or perforating the wire, the company says. The wide staple legs keep sharp leg points from puncturing wire, while 1¼4-in. leg penetration into the wood provides consistent holding power, says the manufacturer.
