Dec. 23, 2002: American Standard Announces New Distributors For New York

TYLER, TX — American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning has announced that Capital Winair and Comfort Winair will distribute its unitary products in greater Albany, NY, and greater Troy, NY, respectively. The addition of these new distributors is an expansion of American Standard’s relationship with other Winair companies in the Northeast. Albany and Troy are both new markets for American Standard distribution.

Capital Winair opened its doors on June 1 with Shaun Deyo serving as the company’s first president. Deyo, previously associated with Portland Winair, brings more than 15 years of wholesale distribution experience to the company.

“I am looking forward to heightening American Standard’s brand awareness in the Albany area while establishing a dealer network that will help make our premium products, designed to maintain efficiency over time, available to homeowners,” said Deyo.

Formerly known as Comfort Mart, Comfort Winair has been serving Troy, along with areas as far north as the Canadian border and as far south as Westchester County, since 1973. For the first time, Comfort Winair dealers will be able to offer customers a premium line through this new distribution partnership with American Standard.

“With our long-standing commitment to customer service, the decision to partner with American Standard was a natural one,” said Judith Vener, president of Comfort Winair. “The company’s Customer Care Program, coupled with premium product offerings, will help enhance our dealers’ efforts while also providing maximum product performance and efficiency to area residents.”
