RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - LG Electronics USA has announced the grand opening of the LG Training Academy in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., to support the company’s expanding commercial air conditioning business in the United States.

This is the second U.S. training facility for LG Electronics Commercial Air Conditioning, which the company said illustrates its growing U.S. HVAC business. The first training facility was opened a year ago just outside of Atlanta.

Opened specifically with LG’s West Coast customer base in mind, this facility has the capability of training hundreds of engineers, contractors, and technicians annually, said the company.

Of the 7,000-square-foot facility, 4,500 feet will be dedicated to LG’s Commercial Air Conditioning division and will provide focused training rooms for education on LG’s residential, light commercial, and applied commercial products as well as office space for trainers and sales managers. LG plans to expand its educational programs and feature both one- and two-day sessions. Students also will have the option of participating in shorter half-day courses, or more intensive five-day training sessions.

“With California’s key role in energy efficiency ‘green’ initiatives, LG’s investment in a local training facility illustrates our commitment to the diverse needs of our customers and leads the way in the U.S. HVAC business,” said Kelly Cutchins, vice president, Commercial Air Conditioning, LG Electronics USA. “As our commercial a/c business continues to expand, this facility will be crucial to providing our key partners and engineers with the educational tools necessary for successful installations.”
