Danfoss Inc., Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Division: REFRIGERATION ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER
A new supermarket refrigeration electronic controller, when used in conjunction with the company’s electronic expansion valve and a plate heat exchanger, can deliver liquid at a temperature or delta T selected by the user, the company says. According to the manufacturer, the AKC 165 controller has unique control algorithms embedded, but the control parameters are configured by the user, who picks a superheat for the subcooler and either a delta T or a specific temperature for the subcooled refrigerant. A system with the company’s controller also can be configured with a single rack of screw compressors. In such a system, the subcooler circuit suction is returned to the midstage (economizer) ports of the screw rack.
