New sizes are available in the Genesis Compact (GC) Series of water-source heat pumps. The units are intended as re-placements for existing water-source heat pumps. According to the manufacturer, the GC Series is ideal for boiler tower applications where low first cost matters. Horizontal cabinet sizes now are available from 1/2 to 5 tons, and the vertical cabinets now are available in 3/4- to 5-ton sizes. The additions to the series have a compact cabinet design. They have a tray-mounted compressor double isolation design. On most units, high static blower options are available.
