The Infinity™ IdealComfort™ System modulating gas furnace provides up to 3.5 times tighter temperature control than most standard furnaces, claims the company. This two-stage furnace maintains the temperature within 0.3ºF of the set point. According to the manufacturer, there is potential improvement in operating cost during air conditioning or heat pump operation due to the electrically efficient ECM 3.0 variable-speed blower motor. The TrueSense™ dirty filter detection reminds the consumer when it’s time to change the media filter, and the IdealHumidity™ System controls the home’s humidity, even when the HVAC system isn’t actively heating or cooling. Only four control wires are required, easing installation. The furnace offers a 95 percent AFUE rating in the upflow position. It is eligible for federal tax credits.
