The “48/50 TM” rooftop unit series is a supplemental product line dedicated to meeting increasing customer demands for ASHRAE 90.1-compliant units in the unitary market, states the manufacturer. Features of this rooftop equipment line include a gear-driven economizer, high-efficiency belt-drive fan motors, and dual high-efficiency scroll compressors and circuits. The units offer Carrier Comfort Network (CCN) compatibility, system protection against abnormally high- and low-pressure operation and coil-freezing situations, hinged access panels, disconnect switches, and outlets that allow tools and other appliances to be plugged in right at the unit.
