COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus State Community College and the Central Ohio Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) chapter have joined together to present a two credit hour college course designed to provide better understanding of carbon monoxide and the prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Topics of the course (HAC299-72165) include:

  • Properties of fuels;

  • Combustion process;

  • Correct combustion air and venting requirements;

  • Safe and clean operation of carbon-based fuels; and

  • Prevention and detection.
