April 2, 2003: Honeywell Controls Integrated Into Touch-Screen Panels

MINNEAPOLIS — Honeywell and CorAccess Systems have announced the integration of Honeywell’s Enviracom™ HVAC environmental controls into CorAccess’ touch-screen panels, designed to allow homeowners to manage their heating and cooling systems from anywhere in the home. With this offering, Honeywell and CorAccess say they can now supply home-management system providers and installers with an all-in-one control solution for the home including HVAC, security, lighting, and home audio.

According to the companies, CorAccess panels work with a range of home management systems and have received “Product of the Year” awards from CE PRO and Cedia magazines for excellence in custom electronic design, plug-and-play simplicity for installers, and ease of use for homeowners.

“Honeywell is the leader in climate control and energy management devices, and CorAccess is pleased to enhance our solutions for dealers and OEMs so they can in turn provide better integrated solutions for their customers,” said Craig Slawson, president of CorAccess Systems.

“The Enviracom product line was designed to optimize comfort and energy savings by automating HVAC use,” said Cory Tisthammer, vice president of Residential Thermostats. “We are excited about completing the integration with CorAccess because they offer interface design integration and channel opportunities unlike any other control solution. Integrating our Enviracom products with leading companies in the home management industry is part of our strategy with this product.”
