April 16, 2004: ACCA Offers New Voting Resource

ARLINGTON, Va. - With the 2004 elections approaching, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced the addition of a special section to its Web site to help member contractors and their employees exercise their right to vote.

According to ACCA, the new online resource, developed in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, provides contractors with the ability to register to vote, to request absentee ballots, and to educate themselves on state and federal candidates. The bipartisan program can also be used by contractors' employees.

Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA, stated, "I hope every single ACCA member votes this year, and more importantly I urge each of our members to spread this message to their employees and encourage them to get involved as well."

ACCA's online voting center is available on its home page at www.acca.org. The logo/link is on the right hand side and says "Vote! It's Your Business."
