Applied Energy Recovery Systems: Heat Pump Water Heater

The E-Tech line’s WH Super 60 HT Model air-to-water heat pump water heater provides high-temperature hot water quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively, states the company. The water heater extracts heat from the ambient air, upgrades the heat with a compressor and refrigerant system, and transfers the heat in the water. According to the manufacturer, the free cooling can substitute for costly air conditioning equipment and high-energy cooling bills. The water heater has a nominal water heating capacity of 49,000 Btuh and a cooling capacity of 35,900 Btuh. The COP is 3.3. It uses R-134a.
