AMCA Installs Leadership

The new board members for 2009-2010 were announced during AMCA’s 54th Annual Meeting.

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec - The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA) members convened for their 54th Annual Meeting in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. The new board members for 2009-2010 were announced during the meeting. Art LaPointe of Construction Specialties Inc. was installed as AMCA International president. The outgoing AMCA International President, Denis Labelle of T.A. Morrison & Co. Inc., was installed as chairman of the board.

Other installations included Michael Barry, Twin City Fan Companies Ltd., as vice president; Vic Colwell, Loren Cook Co., as treasurer; and George Atkinson, Hartzell Fan Inc., as the director-at-large on the executive committee.

Emery (Pete) Neitzel received AMCA International’s Distinguished Service Award.

Re-elected to the board of directors were Dane Carey of United Enertech Corp., Michael Pijar of Berner International Corp., Dr. Geoff Sheard of Flakt Woods Ltd., C.F. Yang of Kruger Ventilation Industries Pte. Ltd., and Gary Stroyny of Greenheck Fan Corp.

Newly elected to the board of directors were Patrick Cockrum of Pottorff, and John Knapp of Ruskin Co.
